New City poet
« on: September 01, 2015, 22:45:59 »
Last Sunday the new City-poet was installed. Martin Beversluis.  For a period of two years he is obliged to deliver several poems on occasions in the city. He is now the 7th in a row. The ceremony tool place in the old palace, originally build for King William II who loved Tilburg. He died during the constructing (in 1849) and the palace became a school (with Vincent van Gogh as the most famous student). In 1930 rebuild as city hall.

As a kind of joke I posted the following photo on Facebook.

It received a lot of 'likes' and the 'photographer' tagged himself in the picture. He also showed his 'result'.   ;)

Very convincing character.  City-poet is an interesting appointment.  Considering the high level of the European literature, he would have to be so good.

The first is the most successful picturewise.
the second is a study in SELFIENESS a modern form of UNAWARENESS
