Hello back from Bern, Switzerland
« on: July 16, 2015, 20:52:43 »
I'm very happy that the old community can resurface here. I wish everyone here a long and happy future.

I've been around on former Nikongear and fotozones for a few years. Lately, I haven't been active much and also haven't photographed much. I hope this aspect of my life will soon get better. I've also partaken in last year's workshop with Bjørn in Germany, which was a fantastic social and photographic experience.

Currently we enjoy an unusually hot summer, but luckily we have a neat natural cooling agent in town -- our river Aare  :)

In case anyone wonders, I'm 28, studied theoretical physics and I'm working on my PhD in Neuroscience which takes longer than expected :o. I enjoy the use of a D600 and both manual and modern Nikkors, a Samyang T-S and a Zeiss lens.

You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.

Simone, really good to see you here.  I've always enjoyed your images.  Hopefully you'll be able to get out and shoot more.  My wife and son just returned from Rome and they really suffered from the heat.
Cheers,
Tom

Yeah, normally Rome is pretty hot but this year Switzerland is close, we had 37-39 degrees Celsius two weeks ago.
I'm planning to go shooting tomorrow, so maybe there will be something to show afterwards  :).

Good to see you here Simone - I've always enjoyed your photography on NG and FZ. Looking forward to see more - and good luck on your PhD work.

Thank you!

Ciao Simone, non sapevo che fossi cosi giovane.
Are you a Swiss or an Italian citizen?

Like you I am in a phase in which I do less photography than in the past, but unlike you I don't know if there is a change coming soon.

Ciao!
I'm a Swiss citizen, but my blood is 3/4 Italian  ;)
Hope you can find some spare time to photograph!
