Deer conflict
« on: October 26, 2025, 18:43:26 »
I visited Richmond Deer Park (south west of London) last week to photograph the deer rut. I was hoping for some stag conflict, but the only intruder was a junior male who was seen off fairly easily. Still, I was happy to catch some action.

Great photographs, Anthony. The third one is my favourite, too.

Thanks, all, for your kind comments.

I did manage to capture one "fight" but it was just two young males sparring with no hostile intent. After a minute they decided to hang out together in an amicable fashion. Maybe the fight will be serious in a couple of years.
