Been some years
« on: June 05, 2024, 13:02:43 »
Hi,

Since I registered to this group I have not been very active, sorry, but I've posted soon 20,000 comments and threads on DPReview, so I haven't been dead.

I'm retired now, and I live in Sweden and in Thailand, as long as my health allows (they tell me I will live some more years).

My son moved to Thailand 15 years ago, and he is doing just fine there, so we (the wife and I) travel back and forth once a year, spending half a year near the jungles, and half a year on the West Coast of Sweden. So no more snow shoveling, but a lot of wildlife, not least in 'our' garden.

I have shot about 50,000 images with my Nikon 1 cameras and about the same with my Nikon DSLRs. Plus all those I've shot with my other cameras.

We love Scotland, and almost moved there, but then I got run over in Scotland and all ferries connecting Sweden with the UK were cancelled. Once three ferry companies sailed on Gothenburg, where I live, from the UK, one of them berthing in London itself! And by now many of our old friends are gone, or moved elsewhere.

The last few trips we flew over to Gatwick and rented a Vauxhall Ensign at the airport. A really nice car and big enough for all our stuff!

Earlier I used Pentax, and I have used Hasselblad, Rollieflex, Sinar, Konica, Kodak, and Edixa, to mention a few. First SLR bought in '68.

All the best,

Tord (no longer 55!)
