Irix 150mm Macro Lens in Nikon F Mount
« on: May 25, 2024, 23:49:44 »
.
I am a big fan of super creamy bokeh.

I have a manual focus, Irix 150mm f2.8 macro lens in F mount that I shoot wide open on my Z6 (with F to Z adapter of course) at close up (and medium distance subjects).  Usually, i don't use it for macro photos.

Here are a few samples I took while testing the lens.   I like its sharpness and slight 3D pop, but the contrast is a bit low for my tastes and the colors are slightly subdued/boring.

Do any of you own an Irix lens?   What's been your experience with it?

Hi, I have the 11mm Irix in F-mount, Firefly, don't use it much to be honest, but here's a couple of pics from when we took it to Berlin.
