[Theme] Shot From An Airplane
« on: November 14, 2019, 04:06:09 »
I love looking out the window of an airplane.  This theme is photographs taken from an airplane, on the ground or in the air.

Chip, I particularly like the Grand Canyon.  It would be hard not to be awed by its scale.  Here are three from Scott Glacier, in the southern Transantarctic Mountains.  All taken from the back of a Twin Otter, almost the only way to get to many remote parts of the continent.  These run from the upper glacier (Mt Blackburn, roughly 86.8 S) to Taylor Ridge (85.7 S), about 20 km from its outlet into the Ross Ice Shelf.  All: D200 and Tokina 11-16 mm f/2.8.  Cheers,  John

Really nice Antarctic landscapes, John. In particular #2 looks so clean and pristine.
