I sing the body electric
« on: August 09, 2015, 23:11:29 »
A few underwater shots of my girl friend. All from the 'Paradise Island' where we spend some time each summer. The island is located near an estuary and the water hence often is rather turbid and stained by Norwegian standards.

(the first one is taken on film and the scene dynamics overwhelmed the film and scanner alike. Probably would be able to pull this off with a modern DSLR)

IR shots of her entry and exit. A casual appearance of these as I did not look into any finder (which, on the D200 with a front attached filter would be black anyway. No Liveview on this DSLR). But I don't mind. IR is  not for the faint of heart.

Never really expected to see the title of one of Weather Report's albums here.  But that makes perfect sense.  :)

Apparently, they got it from Walt Whitman, or Ray Bradbury.

Having read plenty of Bradbury in my days, I retrieved the title from memory. Later to find it actually is much older  19th Century poetry.

Thanks, Keith, for the reminder.  Yes, that is likely true.

Bjørn, thanks for the disclosure.  I just bought Bradbury short stories at Kindle store, and found the Whitman poem on the net.
