You need to jump to near the end of the podcast to hear the full interview, but although I could not see the images I could still get wrapped up in his story, and I could visualize his photos.
Hearing his story I felt really regretful that at the age of 18 I had to decide on my ‘artistic’ future at the end of a one year Foundation course (where Brian Eno had quite an impact on what I did), and opted for graphic design. Three years later I ‘retired’ from graphic design and life took a different path.
But I wish now, at the age of 60, that at 18 I should have chosen photography as my calling. Instead, I bumbled along many paths and only in the last couple of years have felt most at home behind a camera.
Anyway! This is a great interview, as long as you jump to jp near the end, where the entire interview is included :-)
