Two nice images Bob.  I prefer the rendition of the first one as its edge areas have a smoother gradation than the second.

What is the final  magnification of the first one?

Magnification for the stacked lens arrangement is found by dividing the focal lengths. Roughly 2.8x but could be greater due to increased bellows extension.

  Same here. The colors are striking. Great work getting full impact out of the limited palette. I am, for once, more attracted to the composition, textures, depth and presentation of the first of the two images.
