Danish skies
« on: July 17, 2015, 19:11:03 »
I read in another post here on NG that Danes and Norwegians tend to have different approaches when including the sky in their images - Danes tend to include much more of the sky. Probably because the Danish landscape can be very flat and there are no mountains. I agree that the "sky of the day" often becomes an important aspect when I shoot landscapes.

That discussion inspired me to post a couple of images from around springtime this year. I live in an area that is not as flat as it can be in Denmark and I enjoy the slopes and variations in the landscape and use it in my images when possible. However, a lake not far away always gives a great view to the sky and it's interesting to see what kind of cloudscape the day offers.

Comments/critics welcome.

I find that skies are an important part of any landscape... :-) The second one is maybe a bit green or is it an effect of Danish countryside ?

Thanks for commenting Jacques - yes, maybe I've put a bit too much emphasis on the fresh greens of the Beech trees but it is a special time of the year when the Beech trees sets it's leaves.

The first one is quite nice and very typical Danish.
