We have these enormous Papaver plants in our garden, with huge pink petals. Not Erlewine-standard, but nice photos I think

The first one is a killer. The second is very well seen. Both reveal the very unusual aspects of beauty that the ubiquitous poppy flowers can show.

I find the first to be a very nice image ... but the second, the colors and abstraction to be exceptional. Well done Bjørn J.

Good work to get such fine images from a dying flower. And in the rain, too. I'll go against the majority because I prefer #1.

David, I also prefer number 1, I like the way the petals are folded, like an umbrella for protection against the rain.
