Title: Twilight loon
Post by: Randy Stout on August 27, 2020, 20:50:12
Taken about 6 weeks ago, twilight on a northern Michigan Lake.  I was just getting ready to leave the lake, mainly so I could find the ramp in the dark, when this adult drifted towards me.  I usually have the flash mounted with a better beamer on a bracket all the time, but use it sparingly.  Manual flash to give a bit of pop.  D850, 600VR. f.5,6. 1/1000s, ISO 2000.

Advice and comments always appreciated.

Randy

Wow, what a beautiful, tranquil image. The careful use of flash did indeed help much to make the loon pop!
