Another series of images shot in my hometown. This time the emphasis is not on modern architecture but on the historical buildings along the canal surrounding the old city centre.
All images Z6 + 24-70mm

You did it again. Less colorful than the new buildings, but very charming.

Very well done! Composition is spot on. Colours as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the photos.

Erik and I visited Amersfoort last time in NL. A nice city with lots of scenic detail we ought to have spent more time on. Bad weather shortened our stay though.
I distinctly remember the canals due to some to me unusual aquatic plants (Callitriche obtusangula and Nymphoides peltata).

Thanks a lot Bent, Peter and Birna for watching and commenting.
Birna, I'm sure sunny weather does make a lot of difference in the attractiveness. I belief the wall-rue (Asplenium ruta-muraria) are also special.

Very nice town you live in. While I liked your previous modern architectural photos, I like these better. The buildings on the canal have a pleasingly lived in look about them, well captured by you. Thanks Luc!

It’s very nice and quiet and you really show it in the photos

Thanks Tom and Nasos for taking the time to look at this series and commenting. Yes, it's a nice city and relatively quiet although in these corona times we have our share of Dutch tourists visiting places like Amersfoort. So later in summer I guess it will be a lot busier because the centre (of medieval origin) is quite small.

+1
Exactly - what more can I say! ;D
Well done - thanks for taking us on your journey. Nice to see these smaller canals still being used.
