Or pot. Or grass.
Df, 50/1.4 S.C. (ca 1974) at f/1.4. Slightly cropped; pic was not shot at minimum focusing distance.
At that aperture and distance, the 50/1.4 SC has loads of aberrations: some haze lowering the contrast, some double edging in the background, etc.
In absolute terms, this is a bad 50/1.4, but it becomes much better at f/2 and is a gorgeous portrait lens at f/2.8. Also, my copy is a near-mint one, and a gift from an excellent colleague who was not aware that modern Nikons can handle this old lens (I told him, but he anyway went over to Olympus m43).
Here, I found the "boiling grass" effect funny enough.

;D ;D Looks very fluffy :o

Is this weed eating rabbit a pet or speaking of pot, is it ultimately destined for the pot? ;)
I have the same lens and agree that it does well by f/2.8. I must re-evaluate it at f/1.4 - it is just that I don't recall that my copy did too badly fully opened.

Rabbit and I think alike 8)
The background blur shows that it's an old lens, and i like that, too.
