Title: Alleyway!
Post by: Mike G on May 15, 2020, 11:11:21
In these days of lockdown, to relieve your desperation, I thought what you need is a picture of the alleyway between my neighbour and my houses so here you go!
Please don’t get over excited!

Nikon Z6 + Z Nikkor s 14-30mm @ 1/50 f5.6 ISO720.

I am over excited - what to do now?  ???

when looking at it and reading your text, my vision is that the door and a garage door made the same style, fixed on the uper side of the alleyway,  might work as a polarizer for humans

The door is locked two wooden beams on the floor to ram the gate in case of emergency!

Thomas none of the houses in my terrace have garages, they were built in 1952, when there were very few privately owned cars about! If you are over excited then it’s time for a cold shower!
Even the car bays are relatively new less than 20 years old

I have no idea what the wooden boards are for, I’ll have to ask Denise one of these days!

good tip the shower, haha

I wasn´t clear enough, I think.

Your picture shows empty space (today called social distance)
thus I thought about the door which has vertical wooden slats and an garage door or barns door with horizontal wooden slats behind (only hypothetical) - this would make a human polarizer the same way as we photogs use light polarizers in front of our cams...and now we have the interpretation for your artwork
