Title: Nikon Z50 FW upgrade 1.11 is out!
Post by: mxbianco on April 17, 2020, 19:08:17
Yesterday Apr, 16 2020, on the Nikon Download center, the 1.11 firmware update has been published.

The only thing that's been added is support for the Fn2 button (present in some lenses, currently only the Nikkor-Z 70-200/2.8 ).
If you don't have the 70-200mm lens, you don't need to hurry to install the upgrade.

Ciao from Massimo

Thanks for the heads-up. As Nikon has a proven track record of silently fixing other issues apart from those published, a firmware update might be beneficial.

For the lucky bstrds who have the AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR, there's also a FW upgrade to v.1.01 for the lens, solving a problem of excessive VR motion during focussing. Same Download Center as above:
https://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/download/fw/357.html (https://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/download/fw/357.html)

Upgrade can only be done from a very recent camera:
D6, D5, D850, D780, D500, D7500, D3500 and D3400

Note that -oddly enough- the D3500 and D3400 are included, and the D4S, D810 and D5600 are excluded.

I wonder who bought a D3400 to use with a 70-200/2.8 FL...
