good picture and morning
the fog creates an imagination of endless nature in this image...is it  in the city?

Thank you for your comments.
Indeed the image was taken with my phone, no post processing involved.
It is the city but the buildings are not visible (The Hague skyline) becuase of the fog. The Sun illustrates the thickness of the fog nicely :)

Thank you Akira! Birna taught me to make photos with 7 shades of grey :)

Great scene, beautifully framed.  Perfect for phone capture---limited brightness range is friendly to phonecam sensors, softness and blurring from the fog counteracts the ghastly default phonecam JPEG sharpening**.
**based on the ghastly-looking sharpening of the last 2 phonecams I have owned.

Aha, that's why the image reminded me of "Moonrise Hernandez, New Mexico" by Ansel Adams?

Akira, you are too kind! I wasn't aware of the "Moonrise Hernandez, New Mexico" by Ansel Adams. What a photo! It looks like an infrared image! In my case "Sunrise The Hague, South Holland", 80 years later with a One Plus 7T :)

John, when will this fog go away? I guess it's even worse in Tilburg.

Thanks, Kieth for your comment. Only as of recently do I consider phone captures worthy of publishing. The image quality for web use is outstanding, not to mention the ease of use and posting. 99.9% of photos I take are never printed large anyway, so I might as well use what's always with me. Having said that I still have a Df and plenty of lenses (17-35/2.8, 50/1.8, 24/1.4, 105/2.5, 135/2.0, 300PF, etc.) in my office that i could have used, but i was just too lazy... I am afraid that technology took over, i became lazy in many other aspects, too...

I think it is a bit the same ;)  Forecast predict it could be gone tomorrow, we will have to wait and see... Part of our dutch winters...

Tim, thank you for your comment.
Thomas, mid summer is not going to happen unless you expect me to stay in the office til 23h  ::)
It was a sunny day today, shot behind the blind.
