Not sure if it is the light or the way you processed the image, but the highlights look far from natural. The one near top left is very distracting.

I don't understand how you find the HL "far from natural"!
What is natural in a circular LED lit situation? The shape of
the light source, for a start, is not natural.
Yes, there is a hot spot there but it is way less than the one
from a flash since (at this distance) very few LED are reflec-
ted and that's what explains why it is not at 255 but at 232.
There are more conclusions to be pulled out of a test like this.

If you continue to test or use the light, please report your impressions.
It would be helpful to note the specific model of light, and tell with what lens/camera and at what distance the sample shot was made. A measurement of the illumination intensity at the working distance would be useful, and showing a photo of the setup would be an extra bonus.

Yes, you're right, my english is not as fluent as yours for sure!

At this point, I'm very pleased by the larger light source. This
one I equipped with a vellum donut to unify the presence of the
many LEDs successfully though it soaks a bit of the output.

I used a "SG60NPLL" mounted on a AF 105 macro / D3S.
The capture was at 800 ISO, HH 1/60, ƒ 9 and +/- 30 cm.
