Thailand has a wonderful relationship with the elephant - where else do you see people taking their elephant for a walk down a main highway?

The elephant obeys road marker lines as well - a clever creature :D

I particularly like the first, where they seem to have eye contact :)
I remember seeing elephants in the centre of Bangkok last time I was there. Interesting animals.

Yes, that first shot is simply great.  Elephants are such interesting creatures.

So they have elephant lanes on the road where other countries have cycle lanes.  Like it!

Regardless of what happens the end scenario will be a lot of small fish cleaning up the mess :P

My friend and I were walking down a narrow jungle trail in rural Laos in February when an elephant (with rider) appeared  suddenly coming towards us.
We stepped aside.
