Title: Observed but Not Explained

In shot #1, this is an Egyptian Goose… known for its bad temper. It is
known, as well, to be paired since last winter with an "atypical" female
of it's specie but not seen in the last three weeks at the marsh.


In the other shots, the EG is pursuing a Ruddy Shelduck that, though
it shares some plumage features, is not a goose and is waaaay too
young to form a pair… let alone with a goose.


I have observed this Egyptian Goose chasing aggressively Mallards
on different occasions but this was not an aggressive chase… and
the younger shelduck did manage to get away.
