Rural Nature always offers interesting views ... well seen and captured. You might consider increasing image contrast further to enhance the feeling of the plant's interaction with its environment.

(the weed is Artemisia vulgaris ('burot'), by the way)

Nice representation of the "wiper", chals!

The wipers can be seen fairly often here in Tokyo, but they are always some sort of vines hanging from above.  So, an "upside-down" wiper is rare and interesting to me.

Well done!  And welcome to NG!

This phenomenon is quite frequently seen on lake surfaces after a snowfall, caused by wind movement of reeds or sedges. Not that often encountered in urban areas in my country, if memory serves.

Here in Japan, the vines hanging on the concrete banks of the rivers or creeks often show such wiping patterns.

Plant movement. Interesting and well presented. I read it as a comic-book image and so it looks in perpetual movement. Works wonderfully.
