Title: A portrait of Raksha ...
Post by: Stany Buyle on October 16, 2018, 16:02:18
Good afternoon Nikon lovers!

A "portrait" with D850 & 70-200 F2.8 FL + SB-800. Converted from NEF with Nikon captureNX-D. © with PS. No additional sharpening. ("vivid" picture style, sharpening 5.5, saturation + 0.5, hue +0.5)
Why doesn't Nikon software provide text option?... Then I would only need their great software...

More on this session with Raksha here (http://www.nikonuser.info/fotoforum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3591&sid=27d49487059b5d5cbe390e2852e25769).

Thanks for your attention and kindest regards,
Stany

Dear Stany,

This is what caught my eye:
- the shadow of the dog on the wall is distracting in my taste;
- the composition is too centered leaving a lot of space in the upper part of the image;
- the tongue and the back side of the dog look too red to me.

Hope it helps, Jakov :)

Hi Jakov!
Thanks for your valuable critique, and I agree about the crop, which I corrected:

About the shadow there was no option to do a second try with this nervous youngster... ;), and I dislike that kind of PP work
Kindest regards,
