Had a great time today with the 8-15/3.5-4.5E at the beach. ;D

Truly a fisheye-beach :D

Amazing sun rays! Wow nice work;)

Well seen. I particularly like the "Stonehenge effect" on Nr2.
Great work.

Chris, Chris, Chris :)

I love this lens and you put it to very great use here!
Now I am in the mood to go fishing for autumnal colors!

Really cool!😊👍🏼
Ain’t always easy to get "good" pictures with a fisheye, but here you managed it, no doubt!
I liked the 8-15 very much myself, haven’t used it more than a few hours, I was in the thinking of posting a fisheye shot a little later today myself. When I was at Birna’s place a couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege to borrow the lens and go for a little walk in the woods. Always such fun to get equipment that one really feel are a extension of your own body (and mind)! In fact I also fell a bit in love with the D500, something I really didn’t believe I would, - before I had it in my hand! 😉🙋🏻♂️

Nice fishies, Chris!
I especially like no.3.

Thank you all.
I don't use this lens very often, but it's really fun to use. ;)

Great stuff, Chris - dramatic, great geometry, capable of many interpretations. Some images remind me strongly of Stonehenge.

This is a fun series, Chris!
I wonder what this main motif is?

They are called "Pile heads" and only found in "Zeeland" in the south of Holland. They are true eye-catchers on the beaches: long rows with wooden poles.
The pile heads are there to prevent erosion of the coast. The tidal flows are less strong due to the piles, which means less sand is taken away.
Currently there are about 98,000 pole heads around Walcheren and the head of Schouwen.

Chris, thank you for the explanation. This is a nice idea that apparently is environmental friendly.
