Title: Encore heureux qu'on va vers l'été
Post by: Airy on June 12, 2018, 22:00:56
... the title of a novel published in 1975.
Df, Zeiss 25/2 close to MFD, apertures between 2.5 and 4.5.

I'm not sure if the novel has ever been translated into Japanese, but the machine translation into English seems to work (at least for the title).

I feel a subdued, somewhat melancholic happiness from these images and their colors, but it is rather irresistible like the passages in mP.

Légère mélancolie un peu différente de la 5ème D... ;)
Great pictures, hoping they'll be a call for more sun !!!

thank you both.
Colors look never more beautiful than under an overcast sky. A photographic fact (or opinion) that you may transpose metaphorically.

By the way, I enjoy doing close-ups with WA. I think I'll grab my 24/3.5 PC again, it has a higher magnification ratio.

Jacques, I can imagine the feeling of those 7th graders hearing from their professor that they are a boring pack... such remarks can indeed "subdue" the spirits of young persons.

As a "teacher", I can relate to that story (as with "The zen and the art of motorcycle" by Pirsig) ! It's a difficult art to keep students on the topic and also to have them discovering new worlds, new ways of living, getting them to think more as "authors", then following  a would be "Master" of whatever...
Photography (as sketching) is often a lateral way to provoke some form of autonomy !

I confess I raised the purple on #2. Otherwise no particular tweaks on these pics. But:

I mostly use Lightroom; as I noticed that the standard profile would exaggerate the saturation of reds, I bought a dedicated Df profile that seems well balanced. I have not had the patience to establish one by myself.

View Nxi would give satisfactory results "as is".
