Title: Langdale Pikes
Post by: Seapy on February 17, 2018, 00:03:28
I have two paintings of the Langdale Pikes, one a miniature, the other a much larger panorama of Windermere.  Since I was given the paintings I have been fascinated by the view.  Today I revisited the Holehird Botanic Garden since many years, maybe 1988?

This is the view from the garden.

Nice sense of depth.  Reminds me a bit of Paul Cézanne (Montagne Sainte-Victoire).

Robert, this is delightful.

I find the the blue and green and the snow on the hills to be most soothing as I roast down here in an Aussie summer.
