Title: Nikkor 105/1.4 and converters
Post by: jpgrahn on October 07, 2017, 20:44:25
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a new 105/1.4 recently.
Wonderful lens.
My question is how does it handle converters?
I just found a seller with a TC14E2.
This is a converter I have had and sold. I used to have a 2.8/70-200 VR 1. That combination worked ok.

Can't find any information about the combination of a 105/1.4 and a TC14E2.
Anybody knows if it will work?

You should find the necessary information in the manual that came with the lens.

The 105/1.4 is not compatible with any Nikon TC. The front elements of the TC would occupy the same space as the rear elements of the lens so they won't fit.
