Title: Stopping time...
Post by: Jacques Pochoy on July 03, 2015, 17:13:09
One of my first tries with the newly bought 105mm f/2.5 AIs in the small city of Bièvres, just on the outskirts of Paris. Time seems still with this old urban house and paved street... !

Of course the presence of the annual photo fair led to some interesting situations... :-)

The first represents in all its simple presentation the changing
time's witnesses. One element of today another of 100 years ago.
Inspiring imaination of all the people having passed by this corner.

Carelessly set against a fence in the meadow... :-)

Of course there are some "time stopper" tools all over the fair, from all eras and of all kind...

excellent b/w's

Thank you Fons... :-) B&W used to be my favorite with film, because I could do the whole process from the negatives to the prints. Even with digital I still find it interesting !

I guess most are in working state ! They used to be the very first camera for many... So many dreams of "Blow up" and other adventures discarded in that 64 liters box...!

A bit of all, from the Kodak instamatic cassette to the "Dx" one, but some are for good old 135 format...!

Wonderful tonal range and zones. Well exposed and processed.

Thanks ! I guess my eyes are still tuned by my old lab, whatever the tools we have today :-)

I find that the eyes of "ol' lab people" find it easier to adjust the sliders to a pleasing photo, especially B&W.

I agree, but still miss those different paper qualities (Baryum and al) that  can't translate in screen pixels !!!

And a monitor isn't as fragrant as a darkroom ...  ;)

That might be a bonus on the monitor side ;D
