Family vacation

1 fireworks shot from a boat
2 night view 
3 mountain top in the morning
4 storm - 4 images composite

Armando, the weather condition might not have been preferable for your family vacation, but it should have been fantastic for your opportunity for your photography.

I particularly like the thunder shot!  Thanks for sharing.

I bought a trigger which can be acted by light, the thunder storm  happened around midnight, so I set the camera by the window and let it do it's thing for half an hour or so, a lot of lightning above the clouds which even at the lowest sensitivity still triggered the camera

Lets see if tonight we have another thunder storm :)

Hmm...that's interesting.  I wonder how fast the camera/trigger reacted to the lightning.  Maybe the captured lightning was the one flashed immediately after another one that had triggered the shutter?   :o :o :o

Carl, thanks.  Looks interesting.  Never heard of the infrared spark preceding the visible lightning!

The one linked by Carl seems to be more specialized for the lightning.  But yours proved to work nicely.

For the fireworks, I always look for the trace of the rising shell and count two or three to open the shutter right before it explodes.

Armando, nice images.  I particularly like the last two.  Thanks for the link and explanation on the trigger.  I keep trying to get an image of lightning storm over the Mosque across the valley and never really succeed.
