Yes, the sad message was noted in the news over here too.
He was an excellent photographer with remarkable skill of forging technology to suit his advanced projects. We have a lot to thank him for.
My small claim to fame is I was chosen to participate in an exhibition (Royal Photographic Society, RPS) with him in London some years ago.
