That bottom one hits it for me, the blue green contrast.
-
I agree with Fons. The blue and green are very nice.
-
I guess my favourites are
"Beethoven on the fairground" and
"Smoking Workmen"
-
I too love the green "brain" at the bottom, plus the way it is pushing into the tree and making it bend around it ;)
-
One: like the natural iroquois and the side offerings
Four: as urban as it gets, traffic signal like. It's the row of lights and lights.
Six: made me stop and look. Until I found the person on the phone. Focus flip-flop.
Seven: blue pipe bend and red stripe wrap.
Twelve: nice human conversations scene. Framing and leaning boxes make a nice dynamic.
Fourteen: I agree to Colin on the brain scene. nice one.

Thank you, Colin and Thomas for sharing your observations.
The man on the phone in that position makes the eye wander. The picture needs some time. Thank you.
-
Nice set, Frank. I like the setting around 'Beethoven' especially ;)
-
Thank you, John

The last one seems to command more of my attention, so I guess it's my favorite.
-
Thank you Carl. I am always interested in how other people see and rate pictures. In a series I always seem to love the unpopular most. So my presentation sucks even when I have some great pictures to show.
Is there a way to learn how to see which pictures could be popular?

Number 1 of 24/Nov/2016 grabbed my attention in particular, with the two miniature redcoat "soldiers" at the bottom left. Interesting image.
I enjoyed the street scenes in the series, too.
Mike.

Well, just because folks have a favorite is no indicator that the rest suck, in fact I liked all of the images. As for learning how to determine that which people like best, I'm not up to that task. I offer what I like, some agree, some don't, that's the way it goes. ;)

Now that yopu said that I am very interested in your particular comment on my super controvercial "California 2016" thread: http://nikongear.net/revival/index.php/topic,4516.0.html

Thank you, Mike.
The colors are quite far from the Original. In real life the grass was glowing brightly like a little sun. I hat to tone that part down to make it fit into one JPEG.
"Little Soilders" ... very nive association!

I will go look at it again, as I don't recall any controversy when I firt looked at it. But then at my age I often find that many things I do know are not always available on recall. ;D

Okay, we can resolve some of the controversy <http://www.woolgrowerslosbanos.com>. Dinner for two $36, the food is great and plentiful. It's so good I go out of my way to eat there when I'm anywhere near the place. French Basque served family style, and they've been in business for over 125 years.
Another great Basque place if you're near Corona, California (LA area) is Centro Basco <http://www.centrobasco.net>, I love their Entrecote! Check out that link and take a look at their menu, this isn't Denny's!
Now, the next time you go to California, let me know, and I'll give you some suggestions for some real food. OTOH, I'm not a travel planner, just someone that demands good food. ;)

Thank you. Los Banos was more of an accident than an intwntional stop

Yeah, Los Banos is not exactly a destination, but if it had only one reason to exist, it would be that restaurant. I don't want to overplay this hand, I mean the place is not Michelin 3 star rated, but it does serve very good food at reasonable prices. That is something that is getting harder to find nowadays.
