Sad news indeed. I met Michael some years ago and we joined on a trip in Western Norway. I fondly recall a strong personality with lots of insights into nearly all kinds of photography.

LuLa has been one of my favorite websites specializing photography of the highest quality.  I just started to subscribe a few months ago.  I enjoy the video, albeit a bit too short, with Michael and Bjørn shot in Norway.  I miss him.

New to the DSLR game a decade ago his arctic safari reports made me choose Nikon over Canon, though outgunned in sensor performance (back then) the handful of Nikon DSLR's that came along all kept working while a worrisome percentage of tier one Canons stopped working during these arctic photo expeditions.

He will be missed, may he rest in peace.
