Once bought some cheese from Zaanse Schans, many years ago now. I also seem to remember a clompen maker there as well.

It was the first or second time i ever was there, so many tourists even in November, but good to see still many original houses are inhabitated.

The title, angel of the western window, was meant as a metaphor, for it is actually the title of a book by Gustav Meyrink, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_Meyrink (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_Meyrink).
Highly recommended reading, well i used to do, with the internet matters like this have changed.
Thank you Mike.
