An Error Has Occurred!
Your attachment has failed security checks and cannot be uploaded. Please consult the forum administrator.


I had that with several JPEGs today. Others upload easily.

Why? What?

With what software and in what circumstances?

There is an option in SMF (our forum software) that engages security checking of attachments. It is at present turned ON.

The message in a laconic manner states your file did not pass the security checking. Could of course be a false positive so not necessarily indicates anything is wrong with your computer system.

I'd prefer having the checking activated, but if there are a lot of erroneous alerts the matter is negotiable of course.

Anyone else having encountered such warnings? If so please report them here in this thread and we'll look into the issue.

Maybe. Id like to try some more. From a stack of 10 JPEGs I could upload 6. The others 4 were refused.
