Those people that are essential to society but people normally do not notice unless there is a problem.
Dustmen and their truck ;) . I shoot street sweepers, garbage men, traffic wardens, firemen etc, where ever I visit. These guys (and women) are a new thing in Goa, only been happening for a couple of years :(

I appreciate your vision includes those that are invisible to others. Are they collecting the trash looking to glean some money by recycling ... are they under the employment to clean the roads ... are they just concerned citizens and desire a clean street? What are the dynamics of their actions.

They are employed by a Contractor. They go to a central sorting location and the Dump Trucks take the waste to dumps. Organized Waste Management is a relatively new thing in Goa :( .
Shooting the Dog Catchers is more interesting ;) .
When I was in San Diego in 1990, staying with a friend in Point Loma, it was a real challenge for me to get everything into the right coloured Bin (I did get told off a couple of times ;) ) .

Waste management is acurally a very interesting subject. I was a Los Angeles Environmental Commissioner and played around quite a bit with waste/recycling.

First image: you asked for "invisible people", right? Anyway I could only see their incredible burdon.

Conditions are different, but manual labour is involved most places. By the "invisible" work force.
Literally "invisible" in the case presented below as this was before daybreak at winter and I had to use an experimental 'night-light' setup to record anything in the total darkness. Worked, but not in terms of output quality so I quickly abandoned the idea for future experiments.

Olivier, I can only image the loads from the Everest clean up :( . Here live chickens are delivered by scooters (very funny from the rear ;D) but I guess by foot is the only way in the mountains.
