-
Wow, that's a great one.
I found an Ash in the Graveyard...
-
Our native species Fraxinius excelsior turns a pale yellow-green in autumn. Not seen it with this kind of autumn foliage.
-
I know Fraxinus americana and Fraxinus ornus have been planted in Tilburg, but I think this is the excelsior. Not sure about it though.
-
I suppose there are special selections within the Fraxinus family of trees
eg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraxinus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraxinus)
Ashes i know may turn dramatically over dark red and purple black, somewhat reminiscent of
Liquidambar although thats the only correspondence, colour.
So we have a great year for autumn colour, sugar content of the foliage must be high.
-
Yes, indeed.
I found two Ashes on a square in front of a church.
