Title: De-misting
Post by: Airy on October 16, 2015, 16:50:26
One year ago, I published a shot that was pleasing, but which I now find kitsch. There were no tweaks in PP, except clarity reduction. Now I got back to the "original", straight out of the camera via Lightroom. I seem to prefer the unaltered version. In both cases, the contrast curve was left to linear (which suits the mood well). But in the second, clarity was left alone, and I used another Df-specific color profile, instead of Adobe standard.

Shot with Df + Zeiss 135/2 at 2.8.

Yes, the colors (and contrast) of the second version look much better. It's especially noticeable in the fallen yellow and red leafs.

The colors in the first version look a bit of unnatural 'smoothened'...   Strange these differences if only clarity and color-profile is changed.
