Title: Dressed ballerina in flight
Post by: Airy on September 26, 2015, 21:32:03
I somehow liked the snapshot, despite the missed focus (Df, 105/2.5 AIS). So I treated the file accordingly.
The subject title is a nod to Karlanna Majkowski-Lewis.

The initial image looks like a scene from Wayang Kulit (the Indonasian shadowplay) or the movie "Der Himmel über Berlin" by Wim Wenders.  Very imaginative...

Yes, shadowplay indeed, but I mitigated the contrast by reducing the luminosity of the blues and lifting the reds, otherwise the result would have become schematic (shadowplay figures have elaborate dresses designed on purpose, and schematic would be an option with a nude subject and less contraptions, otherwise it's a riddle).

As for Wings of desire, maybe the enthusiastic red-haired would come close to Marion, but my mind did not wander into that direction.
