My favorite view of the beach during a recent holiday, taken with the 300 AFI from the balcony.

A room with a view, obviously ...
I wonder whether you have experimented with the positioning of moving people within the given frame? In this case, perspective is very flat and that in itself lessens the dynamic impact of the image. Do try such captures when the positive element (ie. persons walking in this case) is leaving not entering into the centre of the negative space. You might be surprised of the change in dynamic appearance. Anyway, just try. Rules about "leaving room for movement in the direction of travel" and suchlike phrases of which the textbooks are awash, easily (and dare I say, unknowingly) become constraints rather than helpful suggestions. Break the rules. That is the reason they are there in the first place.

Thanks Bjørn, I will learn to think outside the box again, I can see how that would change the composition, creating a bit of tension in an otherwise ordinary composition.

I would think the waves are fairly big ?
I like how the edge of the tube is in front of the women

Yes Armando, big waves, and also at high tide. Taken at Jeffreysbay, a very popular place for surfing.

Hi, Fanie, I like the geometry of the image, the color composition and the placement of the figures altogether.

From that perspective and spatial compression I feel the ladies will be wet in a few seconds...

Thanks Akira and Frank, appreciated.
