If anyone feels like it. I have made 4 different versions of this image and have not get to a decision so it may have some editing potencial. I´ll keep the file up on dropbox for a week.
Thank you in advance

I like the surreal atmosphere of the image. Here is my take.
I tried to preserve this somewhat muted (but subtle) color which I think essential to the overall surreal atmosphere and surreal calmness. Geometrically, I adjusted the level slightly to my taste and trimmed the left and right side for the more balanced (again, for my taste) placements of the elements composed of rectangles and triangles.

Being into the mindset of another personality is a challenge, so basically I thought what would I have done if positioned at the same vantage point? Something like the image below *might* have resulted. *Might*, to stress that phrase.

My interpretation

Close to the original ;) Cropped unnecessary parts, Emphasis on the white sheet (as a contrast to the old rusty building), resulting in a greenish color cast, somewhat corrected

This kind of communication points out the process of making an image. The way we present it to put an accent in what we see. Of course the file in dropbox is sooc nef with neutral profile.
I´ll refrain from more comments until a few days have passed and see if anyone else wants to share a new vision.
This is very generous of you and very interesting, thank you.

Being a B&W guy, I just tried reducing the image to its shape and textural essentials. I love the original photo and actually didn't think anything would improve it.
-
Cropped a bit, pushed the white laundry, emphasized the yellow/red elements - all to contrast the grayish buildings.
-
I kind of like the original, which gives a good sense of the place, but it occurred to me that one outstanding feature is the two towers, so a quick and dirty crop into 4:3 results in this....
-
Like Dogman, my first thought was to try black-and-white. Then I decided that something was lost without a touch of muted colour. So I warmed the highlights and cooled the shadows, just a little.

"Normalized" to my taste...

First of all thank you all for your time, work and skill. I have enjoyed this challenge a lot.
As a subjective matter, I´ll choose Birna´s crop -love the reduction with inclusion of a bit of sky-, Ethan´s muted colors and Dogman´s textures simplification. I have to note the expanded spectrum you all achieved to put forward :)
As a one choice, I´ll take Ethan´s version. It reminds me of the impression I had just before pressing the shutter.
There is no contest intended. If you fancy it, post another image to challenge NG.

Cool option Frank. Thanks for sharing it!

Ethan’s edit rocks my boat the most too. But what an odd scene it is! The smaller, leaning, tower really puzzles me.
Though now I wonder about perspective … Is the tower at the front actually of similar dimensions as the smaller one? ???
-
Yes, to my knowledge they are all the same. It is a matter of perspective and blending planes. I'll check it :)
