D750 failure
Today, when going for a trip in local forest, my D750 did not work.
Not possible to focus or select aperture
New in July 2015, shutter count now 42.000.
Firmware C.1.15 and L.2.016
Symptoms:
1. No information in viewfinder
2. Not possible to select aperture on the 24-120/4G lens. Locked to f=16
3. Same effect with other G-lens (50/1.8G)
4. No AF, either via release button or AE/AF button
5. No effect of removing battery for a minute
6. No effect of formatting CD-cards
7. In M-mode it is possible to select different shutter times
8. It is possible to select ISO or Auto-ISO
9. Both external info-screens working
10. It is possible to view photos on back screen
11. ‘I’ and ‘info’ buttons work ok
12. Camera releases due to selected shutter speed.
13. Pushing AF-selector does not show up any information in displays
14. When camera ‘on’ there is a weak flashing in left side of viewfinder screen
15. No effect of resetting the camera, two-button.
16. Meter seems to work on ‘M’-mode (when select shutter speeds)
Any advice?
(I am not sure that it is worth a repair?)

Is the camera able to recognize the lens in EXIF data (if you are able to fire)?
I was thinking about a bad contact connection to the lens and fault is on body?

The same thing comes to my mind first. You should check out the camera-lens contacts. How about wiggling the lens in the mount while pressing and holding the lens release button?

You are right. There is no EXIF data, and only data from Non-CPU lens shows up in the upper display. Only mechanics are transferred from lens to body. No electrics are transferred. Even when wiggling. So, I assume that the problem is inside the body.
However, while looking at the upper screen, this screen suddenly showed up two digits I’ve never seen before (maybe: 21 – 24?). Are there any kind of failure codes that can be shown?
