Another one of this rare (specially in F mount) lens on the French "Nikon Passion" site: 1980€ actually (like mint says the seller)...

Oops - I was looking at the CV180mm listed at the same price as the first posting.

My bad!

I wonder though if the pricings are COVID related or maybe even a reaction to the new Nikon Z 105mm S MC lens?

The CV 125 went for $1,375. Now, that is more like a normal price for the lens. A return to sanity, perhaps?

And no, I wasn't the buyer. I have several of these lenses already and with the arrival of the 105MC-Z don't think I require another CV 125.

I have the feeling this new macro lens it's very similar to the older F mount one. But far to be cheaper ! ::)

The 105MC-Z is far superior to the AFS Nikkor 105 Micro.

Oh good.  Mine has only just arrived after a long three month wait.

The 105MC-Z is far superior to the AFS Nikkor 105 Micro.

I missed that bid -was too busy. Would nevertheless be good to have backup copy of the CV125.

I agree that the 105MC is superior to the AF-S Nikkor 105 -  and to any Micro Nikkor ever built before. I like the rendering and the haptics of the CV125 even more

Agree on those two points -- however, the CV 125 isn't a native Z lens :) and handling suffers if the FTZ is added.

As you have a Z9 underway you might as well get a CV125 in Canon EF mount which has full electronic aperture control, a solid chip, no aperture lever, etc :)

Considered that. Would need yet another adapter. But you showed how versatile one could be with different adapters and various types of lenses that all can be made fit to Z-mount

This old CV, while good optically, but not as good, as today's last 105Z, is very poor mechanically. Going to two pieces ease, watch it carefully. It is my own practical opinion, based on my own samples.  LZ.

"Several"? I HATE YOU!!!  :o (Not really.) Seriously now, I'm jealous, or, rather, should be were it only that my talents or professional demands necessitated or warranted owning so much as one of these lenses. (Maybe I hate myself? ::)) All levity aside, what I truly enjoy about this site is being introduced to exotic or rare optics -- or that which is merely cost prohibitive -- moreover by individuals who apply them to their workflow and not merely collect glass for bragging rights. (More like, rites.)
