If anyone is interested, here a link to download the image to play with: https://www.dropbox.com/s/89ce7q9wj8mf54s/PVR_8092.NEF?dl=0
It is a D200 ir only converted 720nm filter. The image was taken in Cádiz with the 18-70mm 3.5-5.6

It has been a while since we had an edit challenge !

My response to the IR challenge
-
Thank you for opening possibilities. I don´t want to impose anything nor do I what to do from here, if anything. :)
Should we keep the challenge open until friday and see what happens?
-
Indeed, it has been long time since the last challenge! Thank you for the inspiration, Paco!
My version here. :)
-
Hard to resist a quick edit of this one. :)
So much details here so I do not feel the need to overload it with colors.

Very nice, Øivind
The first edit in Photoshop 2022 and Camera Raw 14 ! ;)

Sneak view of a Martian landscape -- a "Spanish" Rover?

That was the idea :)

The richness of detail was also my first impression, and I tried to make use of that. But I also like the smoothness of the tonal gradation in your edit.

My impression also.
All from a 15 year old DSLR with "only" a 10MPx sensor (albeit with good light). FWIW, there is a message there as well.

Thanks all for the enthusiastic comment on my edit. The image is interesting in that it could have many different scales. Ripples on the water could be that of small ponds by a whiff of wind, or that of an aerial view of an ocean reef.
Nice Martian version - before water completely disappeared due to lack of magnetic field protecting the atmosphere?

I can see that there is no end to this thread and want to change that.
From Armando´s passionate, Fons a tad darker take, Akira´s color shift and detail, Øivind´s wonderful rendition to my favourite, John´s monochromatic alien interpretation.
Thank you all for your generous use of time and skill.
In previous challenges the chosen one will post the next image for editing so, if John feels like it...

Thank you Paco. I am honored.
I will have to look in my archive for an IR image, at the moment I don't have an IR capable camera.
