Title: An old lens and new toy
Post by: Dogman on August 23, 2021, 16:26:23
It was less than $100 and I wasn't expecting much.  This sample shows very little use, quite nice actually.  Gave it a try on my D810 and I was pleasantly surprised.  It's not critically sharp but it's sharp enough and the AF is decent although nothing to brag about.  I don't shoot much in the tele range anyway so it will likely be all I ever need.

The Nikkor AF 70-210 ƒ/4.

My wife's strawberry pot shot at ƒ/4 165mm.

Nice color palette, sharp enough for this type of shot, interesting light.

Thanks for sharing.

This is one of those Nikkors with a very mixed reputation. I frankly didn't like it at all, based upon 3 different samples, but pleasant to find you enjoy your copy of it! After all, using it for making photos is the very reason for its existence.
