2500 euros, some pictures on fm, someone compared it to the 58mm/ f/1.4 similar type bokeh but much sharper.
Richard Haw has a review also ;)

after contemplating over a cup of coffee and a stick of marlboro...
i think i will spend the money on a 5cm f/1.1 instead :o :o :o
or the 8.5cm f/1.5 ::)
-
Richard, you are incorrigible! LOL ;D ;D ;D

thats because there will be a rebate soon :o :o :o
they cost 247,000 here...
to be frank, for a lens of that caliber i think it is reasonable for nikon to ask that price. ::)
i am looking at my NOCT photos now. this lens has smoother bokeh than the NOCT

i just realized that i shoot a lot of film :o :o :o
ok, i will skip. marriage saved ::)

If Nikon's claim for the 50/1.2S of having a flat plane, count me impressed. That will put it onto my list!
-
Interesting review Richard.
Will have my hands on a loaner this afternoon so will add my impressions.

Seems a very capable lens, on this review to my eyes on f1.2 a tad better than the 50 1.8S on f 1.8 great job Nikon!

Very interesting to see, I disagree with Ricci here; Wide open the f/1.8 in the first shot is sharper than the f/1.2 in the center - clearly, even watching it in the video.

Some pictures with mine in an artist`s workshop...

Thank you, Frank, but pics are too small to be judged by their 100% crop. So would you please make and post 100% crop from the sharpest image that is wide open? Danke! LZ

Yes, I will. Trouble is to get the focus to the point you want it.
100% crops in the making

crops & hope for better light. All day was rainy and dark...
In my opinion the defintion I see at f/1.2 is mind bobbeling!
-
Thank you, Frank! Now I know what waits for this lens, and what is up to my expectations. LZ

There will be more pics.
I wish for a more fine grain AF steering because the sharp slice is so small ... the transitions though are very charming so it seems to be a keeper for sure...

The test video is not convincing. Esp because he compares oof parts with in focus parts which does not make sense AND that he does not see that the 1.2 is obviously a tad longer in the focal length ...
Transitions are what I pay for and AF. There has not been a 1.2 Nikkor with AF. Now I have to learn how to utilize AF competently. Using MF is very pleasenly punchy though

With your permission, Frank, I've done some manipulations to your image. 10 mins, not more. Removed some spherochromatizm, as much as possible, color corrected a little bit, especially if you took it practically without any available lit, but the rendition is fantastic! Even if the lens isn't full APO, like some Zeiss's, the one is very close. Some sharpening added, about 35, in my old LR6. If there is a small amount of micro-contrast, the detailing is surprisingly high! Very, very good lens, your copy is simply shiny! THX, good luck! I will post some RAW files asap. Currently I do only use my phone for posting...
I was most impressed by some details in the fabric...
Yes, APO. Clearly diffraction limited like my large format optics,,, only much faster.

better light this morning.
1) 100% crop ooc raw converted
2) edited shot from the last series...
