I am not convinced by the technical side - it seems you front-focussed a bit, her elbow looks sharper than her face. Also, the picture seems to have suffered from excessive jpeg compression and/or excessive cropping.
But enough rants. The contrast between the cat's and the lady's gaze is striking enough to name it a good shot. You pulled the trigger at the right time (maybe faster than your AF). Thanks for publishing.

you focussed on the lovely woman's eyes, so the cat's eyes seem to be a tad OOF. Wonderful portrait!

I think BR means leave the bottom out. I am thinking square. Here is V2, but I am too chicken to go as far as BR probably likes.
