Title: Infinite spring ride
Post by: Lars Hansen on August 01, 2015, 13:42:22

A former railway track that runs through a forest and pasture area - almost an infinite green tunnel in spring.

Nice, I like infinite green tunnels. (If it was a track, round in shape it would be infinite.)

A lovely scene.  The sharpening, however, is funky soft...at least on my 1280x800 display.  Lars, are you pleased with the sharpening on your display?

Gary - thanks for commenting. Yes, a round shape would give you a looong ride - infinite loop :-) Maybe the term "Infinite" was a bad choice.

Keith - thanks for your comment. You are correct about the sharpening - as you say, not sharp but soft - I chose to post it anyway because I hoped it would be perceived as motion - the bicycle and dog moving into the scene. Shot at 1/100 sec. and no panning .. I'll have to work on that. The rest of the scene seemed "sharp enough" for the small size (1000 wide).

Not at all. "Infinite" is a great term, it staggers the imagination and if I happen upon a green tunnel, ala the photo ... I would want it to be infinite.
