Yes, the filtered lighting, especially on the sidewalk is very nice.

Rick - you cropped quite tight on the left side - makes me wonder what was there?

Thanks to everyone for their comments.

Elsa, on the left was a street with parked cars.  I wanted to avoid them as much as possible, thus I framed the photo this way when I shot it and then cropped it just a tiny bit more when I processed it.

I'm not always a fan of b/w, but this is really cool. I really love the shadows. I would hang this on my wall.

how about a portrait crop? Look, its my opinion only that I am not fond of the composition here - and obviously its your show - so you do it as you see it - its just my opinion  ;)

You know what is weird?  For some reason, and I am not sure why, but a lot of my stuff I tend to crop into an almost square format.  I shot medium format 6x6 cameras for a few years, but I don't think that is the reason I crop the way I do.  It just appeals to my eye, I suppose.  But then again, it never hurts to try new things.... 8)

Thanks for the comments.  Black and white is all I shoot.

One person is coming the other one is going ?

Great perspective and light

The nearly shadowed trunks, IR-image-like leaves and two walking figures makes this image special to me.  I would have liked the figure on the left was clearly separated from the trunk, but that would just be an ingorable nitpick...

I like it It's pretty hard to get dappled lighting to work well, but it does here.  On the left I imagine is a city street.  Actually, a lot is left to the imagination like who the two women are...

Rick - and that is all that is important
Sometimes its more important to please ourselves than please others

Thanks, once again, for all of the comments.

Yes, one lady is coming and the other going.

And it was certainly the lighting that attracted me to the scene.  This was in the Arts District in downtown Dallas and it is one of the few spots that has such an abundance of trees.

Oddly, I too look at the world and tend to see it as square. (Must be old age and we losing our peripheral vision. :) )
