Is this the discovery that finally knocks the lithium ion battery off the top of the mountain? I know, we hear that all the time. But this seems different. Check it out for yourself.

New battery chemistry is todays holy grail.
Down here in Melbourne, Monash University's Chemical Engineering department have got a Lithium Sulphur battery working that has around three to five times the energy density of conventional Lithium batteries that are used in electric vehicles. They have partnered with a German firm to build these batteries.

Greetings down under!
The problem here is lithium.
The greatest source known is in one set of hands… that I don't like.

And greetings to you and everyone "up North".
Let us hope that Ecuador does not end up like the Congo. Australia certainly has useful amounts of Lithium and if we go nuclear for our electricuty generation, then at a price (albeit large) the stuff can be got out of sea water.
We live in intresting times! :)
