Title: Nikon D5 review - long term
Post by: chambeshi on October 16, 2019, 10:46:23
This review was posted in March 2019, so may have been discussed already. The excellence of the D5 as a Pro action camera leads one has to ask how the D6 will be differ - notably in improved AF? :-)

A great deal of work including post processing of the excellent images. It certainly proves how a full review of a complex instrument cannot be rushed (contrary to the modern trend of superficial handling and worse no than guessing).

He gives insightful comparisons against Canon AF , and also the D500 and D850. The images of the 600 f4E+TC14 III speak to the capabilities of this comboniation.
He reviewed the 500 PF Nikkor last year - again this gives us some valuable comparisons

Nicely-done review; well worth reading. I felt affirmation and validation for having bought my second D5, one day before I learned of this review’s existence. Plus, Arash Hazeghi’s explanation of the D5’s AF helped me to better understand what I had still been endeavoring to master.
