Title: The Inferno

It's poppy time in Michigan. This with the Nikon Z7, with adapters for the Nikon "O" CRT lens.

Awesome sharpness. What kind of light did you use?
And focus stacking?

Focus stacking, yes. Light...natural daylight.

Stunning image of amazing sharpness!  The title is fitting.

How far do you typically stop down the CRT when you stack images?

Not much. Depends on the background. Sometimes one click.

Thank you for the disclosure.  I wonder if the perceived sharpness would increase in the stacked image as opposed to the single image with shallow DOF?

I like to paint focus by stacking. Too much shallow depth of field does not do it for me. I like lots of bokeh, but with a very solid area or two of focus. In this image, it's mostly focus, but done very gradually. This image has 220 layers, for example.  But many have just a few layers, each accenting points in the mage I want in focus, but perhaps at a higher f/stop.

Beautiful Michael, from the stunning fiery core of your inferno, to the pollen (soot!) underneath.

This one really shines. I like the departure from the sinuous curves which are so often in your work, not that I don't like them, but variety is nice.
